Maternity Photoshoots | Pregnancy Memories
With our maternity photoshoot booked for Pickle next week; I thought I would share a little throwback to our first ever maternity photoshoot for Squidgy!
This time we will be heading outdoors, but for Squidgy my brother got out his camera in my parent's front room to capture some snaps.
My mum was super excited and ensured we were never short of fun ways to commemorate the occasion. This movie clapper board was a great way of taking a note of the details of our photoshoot.
I may be the one who gets pregnant, but as our baby's daddy I wanted to make sire that John was included. Obviously my blog is about me becoming a mum; but it was both of us who became parents for the first time. John became a dad too!
From booties to blackboards, and hearts over the bump there was so many ideas I had for the photos I wanted included in our photoshoot. I’m not going to lie, I spent a good amount of time scrolling through Pinterest looking for ideas, haha!
It was such a wonderful experience, and I am so glad that I asked my brother to do it. There is something amazing about the way a woman's body changes to adapt for the growing baby inside her, and I love that we had the opportunity to commemorate my baby bump.
There may not have been many shots taken that night, but I am so pleased with each of the memories I have thanks to my brother. I was so happy. Looking back, no matter how ill I was at the time; I really was glowing.
So, there you go. Some amazing memories for us to cherish, and maybe even some ideas for your own photoshoot! I can't wait to share the amazing shots from our autumnal outdoor photoshoot next week!
