I'm a little bit late to the party this year, and if you've seen my recent renovations content you'll know why! However it is finally beginning to look a lot like Christmas - and I've put together some gift guides just for you!

The rule of 7

With a house full of “stuff”, (and of course the fact that we are renovating our new house), we are limited in what we have to spend this year. The rule of 7 is the best way to work to a tight budget, as well as limit and prioritise gifts within the following gift groups:

Something they want

Budget friendly styling products

My hairdryer is older than my children, and my straighteners old that that. It’s not surprising that parents don’t often replace their own items - especially if they’re still working just fine. With that in mind, why son’t you get them an upgrade? The Hair Dryer and Straightener Gift Set from Carmen* is a budget friendly gift, perfect for frizz-free styling.

The hairdryer comes with 3-heat settings and 2-speed settings plus a removable filter. In addition, the straighteners heat up to 210°C with ceramic plates that help you achieve the perfect, smooth style every time - from straight as a pin to beautiful beach waves.

Something they need

A Warmies® buddy for comfort and warmth

Let's talk cold winter nights or that time of the month. A fully heatable soft toy that can be heated in a microwave to provide hours of soothing warmth and comfort has to be the ultimate gift this Christmas, right? I cannot recommend Warmies® enough. My Bagpuss® Cat* is weighted, warming, and so cuddly… although part of me feels like a Bond villain with a cat on my lap!

Skin care

As a mum, I know how easy it is to forget self-care. Life can be busy and chaotic, and time is never on your side. Your focus as a parent is always on giving your children the best childhood you can. However, as the sayings go, “happy mum, happy baby” and “you can’t pour from an empty cup”, so looking after yourself is just as important. From nourishing bath salts and organic balm for mum*, to oil and body spray for dad Nature’s Divine offers a range of products for parents. Help your loved ones carve out some time to revitalise and nourish themselves as they use these gifts.

A heated blanket for cosy nights in

‘Tis the season to get cosy… and what better gift to give than an amazing Luxury Heated Blanket from Carmen*? Snuggle up together on the sofa for a Christmas movie under the quick-heating, super-soft, fleece blanket; or pop it on a timer and cuddle down to drift off to sleep with it over your duvet. The best part for me (especially as a mum with pets in the house) is that these blankets are machine washable with a detachable controller. All that's left to do is choose whether you want it in grey, blue, or pink!

Something to wear

Wrap up in style

The winter season is the perfect excuse to wrap up warm and what better gift for your loved one that an Olivia Scarf from Colour Me Beautiful*? Available in 8 gorgeous colours, these scarves are soft, comfortable, and perfect for styling every outfit. Plus, Colour Me Beautiful offer colustant experiences to find out your colour type (mine is deep and warm and my new Rosewood scarf is perfect for me!)

Something for me

Gifts for the coffee lovers

I may not like coffee myself but I am surrounded by family and friends that run on caffeine. If you have a coffee lover in your life, the Beanies Christmas coffee range* is the perfect gift this Christmas.

Beanies offer a range of products from an advent calendar and gift sets, to ground coffee and sachets. Enjoy big, bold flavours in these low-calorie and sugar free coffees in all the classic Christmas flavours you can imagine.

A Christmas tipple

Christmas drinks don’t have to be alcoholic! Why not try making a Cranberry Gin Fizz or Martini with Clean G from Clean Co*? This sugar free, low calorie, 0.0% ABV drink is a great alternative to mix up your festive favourites without the alcohol. So, whether it's a gift for the designated driver or someone who simply loves the taste but doesn’t want the alcohol content, a bottle of Clean G (or Clean Co's other alcohol free spirits) is the perfect choice.

Opies *

Whether you're after a cocktail garnish, that perfect festive cheese board Chutney, or baking up a homemade crumble, Opies offer a range of wonderful gift options for Christmas this year. From succulent peaches for a delicious melba to luxurious black cherries for the ultimate trifle, Opies have something for every taste bud. Plus they offer recipes and inspiration to use their products… so you can never go wrong.

Wonder Woman Gaming Accessories and Phone Holder

What do you buy for the person who has everything? Designed to hold most controllers from Xbox One to PS5 and phones from Samsung to iPhone, the Cable Guys Wonder Woman Gaming Accessories and Phone Holder is the perfect gift for the nerdy gamer or DC lover in your life. It’s super easy to get hold of too, order one in time for Christmas from Amazon†.

Something to share

Games night fun

In a world where technology has evolved to be such a huge part of our lives, board games are a great way to encourage a break from the screens. I'm a huge fan, and we have a growing collection of classics like Monopoly. Here are a couple of great alternatives to add to your gaming collection this year.

Zensu*

This two player game is simple to learn, but not simple to win. Zensu makes a great gift for pre-teens and adults alike. Squidgy, John, and I have all taken it in turns to play, and have had the best fun together with this new game. You can pick up Zensu from Board-Game.co.uk ready to wrap it up for Christmas.

The Traitors*

With the season 2 finale breaking records with 8 million viewers, the BBC show The Traitors is one of the most watched shows of 2024. With the popularity of the TV show evident, why not gift The Traitors Card Game, complete with digital play, to a loved one this year. Family gatherings will never be the same again as you pitch 4 to 8 players against each other in this game of intrigue, betrayal, and teamwork. Pick up The Traitors Card Game from Ginger Fox ready to open for Boxing Day gaming.

Festive moments for the home

From candles to plug-in air fresheners, i love to have Christmas scents around my home. A Scandi Christmas Diffuser from Copenhagen Candles* is the perfect gift for those who, like me, enjoy adding a winter wonderland scent to their home for the festive season and beyond. The bottle is cute, the citrus and spice blend is luscious, and there are options too. If you don’t fancy a diffuser why not wrap up a candle or gift set instead?

Top tip: deep clean for Christmas!

Getting ready for Christmas isn’t just about the buying and wrapping of gifts. There are so many things to think about… including decluttering, tidying, and cleaning for Christmas. Clean Living's Eco Friendly Cleaning Trio* is a great starter kit perfect for sprucing up your home for the festive season. Clean Living's products offer a great way to create a healthier environment for you, your family, and your pets. Now you can get the bathroom, kitchen, and other surfaces clean and ready for use with a non-toxic, gentle, chemical-free cleaning routine with products produced and packaged right here in the UK.

There are so many things that make Christmas special, and finding the perfect gift for those you love is just part of it. I hope I’ve been able to give you a few ideas to start your Christmas shopping this year!

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas from my family and me this year!
