You may already have seen my Christmas gifts for him guide, well now it's time for me to share ideas for the lady in your life. Obviously as I’m pregnant, a few of these have a focus for mom-to-be and new mums too!

This year I am doing my Christmas gift guides a little differently. I am building them around the “7 Gifts” idea. Read on to discover what the “7 Gifts” idea is, and 2019's top picks for each type of gift for her.

What is the "7 Gifts" idea?

Many of us already have a house full of ‘stuff’. Plus, if we're honest, after opening them, some gifts never see the light of day again.

The “7 Gifts” idea is designed to cut down on waste. It helps ensure your family receive gifts including things they need and stuff to do together. The image below details the seven categories of the “7 Gifts” idea. (Feel free to pin it to Pinterest and share with friends and family!)

The "7 Gifts" Ideas

Something they need

A diary for next year

Getting organised is something all of us could do with a little help with, don't you think? Whether it's the general ‘mum' stuff (like almost missing Pickle's flu jab appointment, oops!) or the balancing act of being self-employed I am in dire need of a decent diary for next year. Especially as I'm adding a new little one to the mix in February.

Claire Mitchell Founder of The Girls Mean Business 2020 planner
The 2020 Awesome Marketing Planner* from The Girls Mean Business covers all the bases, and it's SO awesome. I am already loving getting it ready for using in the new year. From the additional 2020 year to view calendar (which I will pop up on the wall!) to the pages inside including:

• Target setter / tracker pages

• Wellbeing pages

• Writing space

and SO much more; there are so many reasons to love this amazing planner.

A beauty travel case

Have you ever wondered why things get tangled, or lost a make-up brush (or two) in the bottom of your travel bag? I have the perfect solution in the black make-up train case* from Ellis James Designs. It is the perfect Christmas gift for her this year giving you space for all your make-up and hair accessories. Some of its amazing features include:

  • 12 multi-sized make-up brush slots

  • Adjustable velcro dividers with within the large main compartment

  • A zip pouch you can fill and remove for any of your on-the-go must-haves.

With it's sleek, elegant appearance, it is the perfect accessory for your leading lady. The best part is it will give her peace of mind that everything is not only safe, and protected on your travels, but also well organised!

If I'm honest I'm considering using it in my hospital bag for when Munchkin arrives as it is ideal with all the space to ensure that nothing I need is forgotten when I head up to hospital.

Something they want

(Or you know they'll love!)

Nursing bras and clothing

As we begin the countdown to Munchkin's arrival around Christmas, the only thing I'm really thinking about it what I will need after he arrives… like nursing clothes. To be honest when I was asked what I want that was my answer. Are you Christmas shopping for a breastfeeding mama too? A few new nursing tops are the perfect Christmas gifts for her. They aren’t exactly budget-friendly cheap options but my favourite nursing tops and dresses came from Jo Jo Maman Bebe. There are also other options available from places such as H&M, New Look, PinkBlush and even Boohoo; so be sure to shop around for not only the best price but the best style for the lady in your life.

Breastfeeding accessories

Ahhh yes, more about boobs. Skip on by if you aren’t interested in breastfeeding gift ideas for her, but again the only other thing I asked for was one of Hold’s amazing swirl reminder rings*. It has, “move this ring from hand to hand" engraved inside and is a stunning piece of jewellery. The best part is you move it from one hand to the other to remind you which side you last breastfed from and where to feed from next. Absolutely genius if you ask me.

Hold swirl breastfeeding reminder ring

For mamas who don't or can't breastfeed Hold also offer bracelets* engraved with “milk from a bottle, same precious bond”, because the love of a mother is no different however our babies are given their milk. That bond, that love, that amazing, precious time with your baby should be celebrated, and I am so grateful to Hold for providing such a lovely gift idea to do just that.

Something to wear

Something comfy

Comfy clothes are obviously a good Christmas gift for idea her whether your partner is pregnant or not… but in my case it is one of the best gift ideas I can think of. There are so many things about pregnancy which are hard enough, without having to worry about whether clothes fit properly or are comfortable enough. My go-to outfits at the moment include dresses from Boohoo like the pink one pictured and the two tops I have the pleasure of being gifted for my PinkBlush review.

Big sister Bump kisses

Something to wear at night

So, comfy clothes are a must; especially if you're looking for the perfect Christmas gifta for your pregnant partner. To be honest though any soft, properly sized maternity clothes are a winner, especially pyjamas… in particular for those of us who are pregnant during the winter months! It gets cold, and none of my PJs fit (unless I don’t mind wearing the top as a crop top over the bump!) so obviously Christmas maternity clothes are a winner .

Something sexy

Pregnant or not, looking and feeling sexy is all good by me (and, I'd imagine, by my husband too!) It's a little harder to shop for sexy outfits when you're pregnant though, that is until I discovered the UK Lingerie baby doll and brief set*. The best thing about it? From the centre of the baby doll between the cups, to the bottom it is split. So whilst the top fits like a dream, the bottom floats down and opens out so the bump is not a problem! If you're looking for other sexy Christmas gifts for her and this baby doll is not the right pick, UK Lingerie have an amazing, wide range of products available to suit everyone's style. Best of all they have items available to suit many different body shapes, including plus size.

Something to read

Personalised books (and Disney for the win!)

Ahh, books. Remember before you became parents and you had all the time in the world to lounge and read? Or maybe you still have that time (lucky you!) Either way, a book will always make a great Christmas gift idea for her. If the lady in your life is obsessed with Disney (like me), or in love with stories like The Nightmare Before Christmas (like my best friend Kat) In the Book have your gift buying covered; like with this personalised copy of The Nightmare Before Christmas from their Timeless Collection. Fancy a different book? There is plenty to choose from and personalise so simply pop online and take your pick.

Something to do

Vinegars and oils for cooking

Getting in the kitchen and cooking (or baking!) up a storm is one of my favourite things to so. If you read my recent piccolo tomatoes recipe post you'll know I love to get creative with flavours and foreign cuisine.

With the il Gusto oil and vinegar miniatures gift set* there will never be a dull meal. I love the weird and wonderful flavours available in it and have so many ideas for their use. Don't worry, if you're looking for Christmas gifts for her which don't involve cooking why not check out il Gusto's miniature rum or gin gift sets?

Moulds for baking

I love to bake, and the girls too. Using moulds is a great way to try a little something different to the standard round cake tin. I have a few silicone alternatives from Lakeland and Lidl, but you can even find them on Amazon these days. For example why not bake up some Snowflakes†, Christmas trees†, or even gingerbread men†?

A journal

Sometimes it's nice to have a space to vent, to share you thoughts with no judgement. Whilst I often use my blog as a form of diary, a journal like this Derwent sketching journal set* is a great place to keep those things more private plus of course let my artistic side loose. I think it would make a great gift for the woman in your life, for sure, and if you’re buying last minute order it on Amazon† with Prime!

Something for me

Photo gifts

I love taking photos, and let’s be honest, most of us (me included!) can be a bit useless when it comes to doing anything with them past taking them. A photo gift is a great way to ensure that your leading lady has moments like our Christmas photoshoot by the lake captured and displayed for all to enjoy.

Personalised photo gifts from Funky Pigeon
If you thought Funky Pigeon was just for awesome personalised cards, you'd be wrong. They have gifts too, including photo blocks*, snowglobes* and even coasters*! I am in love with ours, and obviously you'll never go wrong with storing memories in this way as a Christmas gift for her this year.

Pampering for new mums

Every new mum deserves a bit of a break and a treat; especially when it comes to being a mum to a newborn and other children. It's exhausting (I remember it all too we... and I'm soon to do it again!) If you're buying for a new mama from your friend to your wife, then look no further than here for perfect Christmas gift ideas for her.

I love this ‘new mum’ letterbox pamper hamper* from The Baby Hamper Company from the delicious champagne truffles to the lush cream. To be fair even the bag is awesome (and oh, so, soft!)

Hot chocolate and biscuits

Me time... how do you get it? I love a nice cup of hot chocolate and a tasty biscuit, snuggles under a cosy blanket. Especially on cold winter evenings! If you're looking for elegant, luxurious Christmas gifts for her, Whittard have you covered! With their trio of stackable hot chocolates* and delicious, soft, cranberry and white chocolate chip biscuits* you have the perfect Christmas gift she will love.

Something for family

Date night

Ahh see, this one is not so much for ‘family’ as it is for couples… which I suppose still counts, right? We had a voucher from Red Letter Days for their Indian dining for two experience* and it was awesome. Compared to some other vouchers you may have seen, this is fabulous value for money; and who doesn't love an Indian meal? For us, Indian cuisine holds a special place in our hearts as (amongst other memories) John proposed to me in an Indian restaurant in Tenerife back in 2009.

Disclaimer: The voucher is for a meal for two, and doesn't include child care. That part of the gift will have to be organised with a family member or friend who will be happy to babysit while you head out to enjoy your couple time!

So, whether you wish to go galavanting for some couple time, or need Christmas gift ideas for her which are more practical like maternity clothes; I hope you've found some inspiration here.

Wishing you a very Happy Christmas from my family and me this year!

Merry Christmas from Me Becoming Mum
