Busting Bottle Grime | Nimble Babies Review | Me Becoming Mum

When we had our first daughter, I breastfed. However I also expressed to allow my husband to feed her and give me a chance to have a rest every once in a while. Over time, the bottles became cloudy and began to smell, no matter how much I tried to clean and sterilise them. Getting them back out for the second time they still wouldn't come up clean, that is until now.

When I was given the opportunity to try out Nimble Babies's milk buster, I wasn't sure what to expect. I hoped that I would help, I even hoped that it would work, but I want sure that it would. However I was amazed by the results. Nimble Babies does exactly what it says on the bottle - it bust milk residue and all the associated side effects of not being able to get the bottles fully clean.

There are a few reasons that I have fallen in love with this product, and here they are:

  • It's milder than washing up liquid

Let's be honest, when it comes to our babies we want to make sure that they are protected from every angle and that includes making sure that what we are cleaning their products in is safe for them. This product is specifically designed with babies in mind, which makes it the perfect product.

  • It cleans the bottles better than washing up liquid

Not only is Nimble Babies milk buster a milder option than washing up liquid, but it also removes the milk residue better. The milk residue is the cause of all the problems from cloudiness to smell, so having the ability to clean them and get them into the best condition possible is a massive win.

  • It actually works

I didn't exactly think that it wasn't going to work, but I was a bit dubious. I won't lie, I just assumed that it was an upmarket washing up liquid aimed at parents. I couldn't be more wrong. After all the attempts I had previously made to get the bottle clean, I finally did it with this amazing product. If you don't believe me, simply look at the evidence in the photos below!

  • It makes the bottles smell better

The residue is made up of fat and proteins that cause the smell and cloudiness, and removing them makes for a cleaner, fresher bottle. Not having a lingering smell of grime inside the bottles make me feel so much more comfortable about using them for my daughter. To be honest I got to a point where I was close to throwing the whole lot out because it didn't feel right using them.

  • It is a spray bottle, making it easier to aim at those hard to clean spots

Being able to focus the spray into the harder to get areas like the corners and teats is absolutely awesome. Once it's sprayed into the area it is so much easier to then wash the bottle with a bottle brush. Being able to clean out those spots means that there is no where for milk residue to hide.

I have been using it for a wee while now and I am so pleased to have this in my cupboard. All our bottles, from the baby ones I use to express into to the sippy cups that we use for R smell better, look nice and make me feel so much more comfortable about using them - where I just wanted to throw them away before!
