Jord wooden watches are made from natural wood

From bamboo to sandalwood and acacia to walnut, Jord watches are made from a variety of wood and there are two reasons I love this.

Jord wood watches are all unique

No two trees are the same, even the wood grain inside two maple trees is different. This means that every Jord watch that is sent out will be completely unique with only the shape and faces being the same as others within the same family of their wood watches. The thirteen different types of wood they use also means there are a variety of different colours and patterns. Although we both have a Jord watch from their Frankie series, John and my wooden watches could not be more different.

My Jord watch is made with purpleheart; a red tinted wood which perfectly holds its own against the pink watch face and gold dial. Next is John's. Its navy face and silver dial sits within a beautiful frame of zebrawood. Zebrawood is bold, bright and well suited to him with his tanned, olive skin.

Jord watches use of wood includes box

Jord watches come in a cedar humidor presentation box. This wood watch box is sturdy, strong and beautiful with a small drawer and inconspicuous magnets to hold the lid in place. We use the drawer to keep our wood watches care oil inside (especially as we have children and don't want it to get "lost"!) Having a good looking wood watch box also means we keep them out and pop our Jord watches away during times they're not being worn.

Jord wood watches can be engraved

Jord offer wood engraved watch back-plates on some of their models. At the moment the back-plate of our wood watches (part of the Frankie series) are unable to be engraved, however the cedar wood watch box could be! I chose to engrave the same words John and I have used to talk about our love for years, “Always and Forever”. You can choose anything though; including company logos, handwritten messages, standard text, and uploaded graphics.

Whether you’re looking for your wood watch to men’s wrists or you want something special for the lady in your life, Jord have you covered. Once you’ve picked your chosen watch, the team at Jord can size it for you prior to shipment. All you have to do is click on the "Custom Sizing" link in the "Series Options" section of the watch you’ve chosen. They even have a handy guide with wrist measuring instructions so you can make sure you ask for the right size.

As long as you are careful not to damage it (after all, you wouldn't want it to get wet or scratch the face!) Jord wood watches can be worn wherever you like. I especially love that the wood makes it feel like it is a part of the nature that surrounds you.

I love to slip my Jord watch on in the morning and know that it will be there throughout the day to keep an eye on the time. Whether I'm working, reading a book or simply having a nice warm cuppa, having a Jord watch on my wrist never fails to make me smile. The dial is big and bright and easy to read, making sure I can easily keep track of the time I am spending on activities or when I need to head out on the school run.
