Bluebell Wood | Ferry Meadows | Exploring Cambridgeshire
If you follow any other parent bloggers or social media influencers you may have noticed that bluebell photos are almost expected in Spring and so it seemed appropriate that I take the girls to Nene Park Ferry Meadows and get some shots in the beautiful Bluebell Wood.
We had a wonderful morning walk over to the woodland area where the Bluebell Wood is located, and thankfully the weather was sunny, so we were able to get some lovely photos too (even if Squidgy had to squint in some of them because she said it was too bright!)
We went towards the end of the bluebell season, so unlike earlier in the spring there was not as many areas to actually take the photos I wanted but I still got some super cute ones. The girls love having there photos taken (at the moment anyway!) so I will for sure make the most of every moment that I can. I think it helps that both girls love being together too, because the sisterly love if evident to see and there is nothing better than seeing their realtionship blossom (!) and grow.
Pickle is such a cheeky little miss sometimes, and more often than not is up to something, in something or climbing something that she shouldn't be. It's a good job she is so cute, because it is hard to get cross with someone who looks as adorable as she does. She is growing up way too quickly for my liking, however, and I am struggling to believe that she is now eighteen months when I feel like it was just yesterday that I brought her home from the hospital.
Squidgy is also growing up in the blink of an eye. She gets more beautiful (and more sassy!) every day; and I am so proud of the amazing young lady that she is turning into. She loved visiting the bluebells, dancing around and moving so quickly it was hard to snap a photo of her. She is such a cutie though and her smile really says it all. My girl, my mini me... I enjoy moments like these and will treasure them while they last because in just a couple of months she will start school and they will happen less than ever.
My girls are the best of friends, and even after our little bluebell photoshoot they still continued to love on each other, with Squidgy even helping her sister up the steps because she though they were too big for Pickle's little legs. I will always love moments like this, and they may not make the best picture-perfect shots, but for me they will always be the best ones.
Ferry Meadows really is a perfect place to spend time as a family, and I am so sad that we have moved away because we have so many amazing memories from our times together there. It doesn't have to be a trip to the Bluebell Wood that pulls you there... with multiple playground and paths to walk, there are things to do there whatever season you visit.
I have so many beautiful photos from our time together that morning, and I hope you've enjoyed getting a peak at some of them. If you want to visit Ferry Meadows I would highly recommend it... and you can find all the details you need on Nene Park's website.
